About

Scott H. Burton is interested in using technology to advance business, both by improving software engineering practices and by providing value to the massive amounts of data organizations always collect, but on which they rarely capitalize.
He is currently a Software Architect at Knowlysis where he leads custom development projects in content management and delivery.  He is also an adjunct faculty member at Utah Valley University, where he enjoys teaching courses in programming and software engineering.  He is a frequent visitor of the Data Mining Lab at Brigham Young University where he will begin full-time research this fall.
Scott holds a Master’s of Science in Computer Science from Utah State University, where his research focused around reinforcement learning techniques and applications.  He also has degrees in computer science from Brigham Young University and Snow College.
